This is an older painting - started years ago, but finished a few months ago ... don't know why the long delay, it just happened that way. It is a view of the houses along the alley of my first home. Very mid-western feel.

Very busy yesterday .... :-( Not enough time to paint, post, etc.
But I am trying something kinda new - painting (oil) on a new surface. Its a gessoed masonite board - very smooth. Handles the paint very differently. The jury is still out on whether I like it or not. In the meantime, I'm posting another older painting since I'm still camera challenged! (the camera is in Oklahoma, I'm in Illinois right now.)

Thanks for the comments Helen. This painting came out awesome, you have a gift at doing architectural works. I can relate to putting something away for a long time and then finishing it later...a long time later. It's worth it though, this came out beautiful.

All my best,
Todd

I like the sleepy gentleness of this painting. I think it's the gentle shadows & muted colours which give it this 'feel'.
