Whispers of Fall,
16x24", oil on canvas
©Helen C Read
Just off the easel and still drying. This landscape depicts that week or so when fall is almost upon us.
Just a few colors are changing amongst the green landscape. There's the promise of change in the air.
This painting is painted on a canvas that I stretched and primed before painting. It is one of the most intriguing spots in a nearby forest preserve. The "scene" is never the same from day to day.
It will soon be added to my website as it is dry and available for it's new home.
To see the process for stretching a canvas, take a look at this demonstrationl
