Working in the abstract genre is challenging and more difficult that it may seem!  Even though it is non representational, abstract work must follow the rules of good design.   That can be quite challenging.  But sometimes, the concept one is depicting really is bigger than a representational approach can contain!   Hope you enjoy this venture into abstraction!

Thank you, Lynn! These were a move in a different direction, but were lots of fun to do! I love that color can be the vehicle for a concept! It was also a lot of fun to figure out how to make many layers and not lose the elements of good design... or at times build in elements of good design.

Helen, lovely work! Autumn reminded me a bit of Seurat, only much more colorful. All the paintings are bursting with life and exuberance.
