Empty Nest 2, 6x6" Oil on canvas
Another view of the empty nest (see earlier post in late February for the first nest painting). This time, I've included a little piece of shell, barely visible, and a small feather. What really caught my attention in this set up was the wonderful shadow shape behind the nest. This one was a lot of fun to paint - and after a few adjustments, I was happy with the outcome.

Helen, the nests will be not so empty soon as the springs starts. This is very nice painting. Thanks for sharing, Anna :)
Helen, this little nest is magnificent! I love the details, the little chip of a shell and the feather are perfect touches! A perfect Spring still life!
Thank you Anna and Sandy! Your encouragement is much appreciated :)
