Visual Art is a beautiful language using the elements and principles of art. As a painter and art instructor for many years, I also enjoy writing, nature, family and friends. The world of art is fun, challenging, exhausting and renewing all at the same time! Please note, I am no longer using paypal. I'm in the process of removing paypal buttons. Last Weekend's Activities
Last weekend was the annual student art show at the high school where I teach art! Its a huge production - cleaning out the library, setting up our student work, and then having the school view it and open to the public for weekend viewing ... then, it all comes down on Monday, so the library can be a library again! But, as you can see, (though these few shots don't give the full view, by any means) hundreds of pieces are submitted and shown, and the students absolutely love seeing what their classmates have done!
As a teacher, its gratifying to see everything in 1 spot! We don't really get to see it all unless its shown in this way!
So, I'm exhausted ... and as the semester winds down - I will continue to be very busy with school. I'm ready for summer!! (Perhaps more than the kids are) Though it will be a summer with graduate work and planning and preparing curriculum for the fall, it will be a slower pace! The intensity of teaching can be exhausting!!

Wow! What a lot of work, but it looks like it was well worth the effort. I am ready for summer too! But there is still grad school, Yuk! At least I won't have to show up at 7:30 anywhere.
Thanks Debra! This is our annual student show - which is a LOT of work, but very worthwhile! I too am looking forward to summer - but also have a couple grad classes to get done... but not quite so early as the school year. That's a relief!!
