I'm just beginning the first steps for a new landscape. This one will be a little larger 16 x 12". I used to work always in this size or larger... And now I'm returning to that desire, especially for landscapes.
Tonight I toned a canvas and did value studies while working out a structure. I'm still interested in doing a tonal painting, but with colors of spring.
Perhaps tomorrow or this weekend, I'll be able to start painting.... I hope! It's a very busy season with the end of the semester, administering finals, helping students finish things up, and putting the classrooms away for the summer. But, I plan to paint as much as I can!
Over and over I see proof that I have no patience and that I do not approach art in the same way as most artists do. I think this is a huge problem! But I sure do love seeing how you go about preparing for your next paintings, Helen. This will be another beauty!
